Dr. Kirkpatrick is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the State of Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching with a major in Special Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She received her Master of Education in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis from Texas State University. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Baylor University. Dr. Kirkpatrick worked as a special education paraprofessional and teacher for six years prior to attending graduate school. |

Dr. Kirkpatrick's Research Focuses
Dr. Kirkpatrick's research interests focus on using ABA in schools to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities, particularly those that are being educated alongside neurotypical peers. She uses technology as the modality to deliver behavior analytic interventions to teach new skills such as academics, social skills, and play skills. Dr. Kirkpatrick's research also focuses on coaching and training teachers and support staff to implement evidence-based practices with their students. Her research has received recognition and funding from the Organization for Autism Research.
