Dr. Kirkpatrick is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a Doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the State of Texas. She received her bachelor's degree from UTSA in special education, her master's degree from Texas State University in autism and ABA, and her Ph.D. from Baylor University in educational psychology with an emphasis in ABA. Dr. Kirkpatrick was previously a special education teacher and special education paraprofessional. She is the director of the Teacher Education in Autism for Classroom Help (TEACH) Lab and the Primary Investigator for Project ABA TEACHER and Project RETAIN. |

Dr. Kirkpatrick's Research Focuses
Dr. Kirkpatrick's research interests focus on using ABA in schools to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities, particularly those that are being educated alongside neurotypical peers. She uses technology as the modality to deliver behavior analytic interventions to teach new skills such as academics, social skills, and play skills. Dr. Kirkpatrick's research also focuses on coaching and training teachers and support staff to implement evidence-based practices with their students. Her research has received recognition and funding from the Organization for Autism Research.
