ABA at UTSA is consistently recruiting families for research projects. All of the services we provide to families are completely voluntary and completely free. Below is some information about the projects happening right now and how to get involved!

The BOAT project is recruiting families with children diagnosed or "at-risk" for autism of any age. BOAT focuses on brief assessment and intervention for the child, and significant caregiver training for generalization and maintenance. This service is free to all participants.
FREE 4-week curriculum teaching critical social skills online via Zoom in a group format. These groups are for children with autism spectrum disorder that are 8-14 years old. Sessions will take place in the afternoons for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours 1 day per week.

Free Respite Care for families with children with Autism and siblings. These events take place at our partnering SAABA clinic in Downtown San Antonio on First Fridays from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Activities include crafts, games, dance parties, sports, and more!
These services are best for individuals with or at-risk for autism that engages in challenging behavior. The 3-hour session time includes functional behavior assessment, communication assessments, as well as the development of a treatment protocol with caregiver training. This service is free to all participants.

On-Site ABA TherapyThe SAABA clinic is now accepting applications for on-site ABA therapy for children with autism between the ages of 3 and 16 years old. Sessions are 2 times per week for 3.5 hours. The SAABA clinic is a collaboration between UTSA, Autism Treatment Center (ATC), and the Children's Hospital of San Antonio (CHofSA).
